Applications are invited from intending candidates for the post of Research Fellow-2 in the Population Research Centre, Gauhati University sponsored by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India. The application should be accompanied with copies of certificate, mark sheets from HSLC onwards along with other certificates fulfilling the required qualifications and experiences. Educational Qualification: a. At least 2nd Class Post Graduate Degree in Demography/ Population Studies/ Statistics/Economics/Mathematics/ Sociology from recognized Institution/ University. b. Knowledge of Computer Application and Programming. Experience: 1 year experience post qualification (i.e. after post graduation). Age: Must not be above 45 years on 01.06.2013. Relaxation of 5 years in case of SC/ST candidates will be allowed. N.B. : The selected candidate for the post has carry out extensive field work, data analysis and report writing etc. Monthly Emolument: Rs. 10,000/- p.m. (consolidated) The post is temporary and on contractual basis initially for one year which may be renewed based on performance of the candidate. The authority has no liability for either regularization of the service rendered or for regular appointment in the PRC.
