EMPLOYMENT NOTICE

Applications are invited from the Indian nationals, in the prescribed format for the one vacant post of data entry operator (Pay scale- Rs. 5200-20200, Grade Pay- Rs. 2400) in the unreserved category, in the Election Department, Assam Secretariat, Dispur, Guwahati-6.

Eligibility & Qualification:

i) Minimum education qualification – Bachelor of Computer Applications from a recognized university.

ii) Age: Between 18 years to 38 years as on 01/01/2013. Upper age limit is relaxable for reserved category candidates as per the State Government rule in force.

iii) Should be medically fit to discharge his duties.

Selection procedure: From the applications received, 20 applicants would be shortlisted on the basis of the marks obtained in the qualifying examination. The short listed applicants would be required to undergo practical test for assessment of their computer application skills, data handling, hardware handling to be followed by interview. Merit list will be prepared out of these 20 applicants as per following weightage of marks.

Total marks: 100

Weightage:

i) 50% for marks obtained in the qualifying examination.

ii) 40% for marks obtained in the practical test.

iii) 10% for interview.

How to apply:

i) The duly filled application in the prescribed format given below, filled in all respect shall be sent at the following address-

ii) The application may be submitted in person or by post latest by 15th July 2013. Any plea for accepting the application, reaching after the last date of submission i.e. 15th July on the ground of delay caused by the postal department, courier etc. shall not be entertained.

iii) The applicants shall enclose with the application the marksheet of the qualifying examination and also the certificate. The applicant shall also enclose with the application his HSLC certificate for proof of his age.

iv) The applicant should also enter in the relevant column of the application form their Telephone/ Contact Number, if any, whether Mobile or Landline.

v) The applicant shall produce all the necessary documents, certificates in original at the time of interview.

vi) The application should be carefully filled in every respect. The incomplete applications would be liable to be rejected

vii) A self-addressed envelope of 10" X 4.5" affixing postal stamp of Rs. 5/-.

viii) T.A / D.A will not be admissible for appearing in the practical test / interview.
