Qualifications
(i) A Master Degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in point scale whatever grading system is followed by a Recognised University. Relaxation of 5% marks to the Ph.D. Degree holders who obtain Master Degree prior to September, 1991.
(ii) A Ph.D. Degree in concerned/Allied/ relevant discipline(s) in the institution concerned with evidence of published work and research guidance.
(iii) Associate Professor/Professor with a total experience of 15 years of teaching/research administration universities/colleges and other institutions of higher education,
(iv) The minimum API score required for eligibility of the candidate for the post of Principal is 40% of 400 = 160 (one hundred sixty).
A relaxation of 5% may be provided at the graduate and master, level for the SC/ST/Differently-abled (physically and visually differently-abled) categories for the performance of eligibility and for assessing good academic record during direct requirement to teaching positions. The eligibility marks of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in point scale whatever grading system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% marks to the categories mentioned above are permissible, based on only the qualifying marks without including any grace mark procedures.
The intending candidates should fill up the prescribed proforma issued by the DHE, Assam, and send the same to reach the office of the undersigned within 25th May/2015.
The upper age limit is 55 years as per prescribed rules.
