Office of the Assistant Director, Town & Country Planning, Dist. Office Bongaigaon invites application for the post of Lower Division Assistant
Last date of receipt of application : 16th December, 2013
Application are invited in prescribed Standard Application Form as published in Part – IX of Assam Gazette for filling up of 1(one) number of post of Lower Division Assistant (Jr. Assistant) under the office of the Assistant Director, Town & Country Planning, Dist. Office Bongaigaon in the Pay Band of Rs. 5200 /- to 20,000/- + Grade Pay Rs. 2200/- and other allowances in the revised scale of pay as per R.O.P. 2010 and detail requirements as under. Application must be addressed to the Assistant Director, Town & Country Planning, Dist. Office, Bongaigaon.
- Nationality : He/She must be an Indian citizen as defined in Article 5 to 8 of the constitution of India.
- Qualification : Must be H.S.S.L.C. Examination passed. Attested copies of candidate of Educational Qualification must be enclosed with the application.
- Other Qualification : She/he must know English and Assamese typing with a speed of 40 and 30 words per minute respectively. Knowledge of computer applications will be an added advantage. Attested copies of Diploma/Certificate from registered Typing Institutes must be enclosed with the application.
- Caste/Tribe : Attested copy of Caste/Tribe Certificate issued by a competent authority must be enclosed in case of reserved category candidates.
- Age : Minimum 18 (Eighteen) years and maximum 38 years (thirty-eight) in case of General Candidates and OBC/MOBC and 43 (forty-three) years in case of ST(P), SC, ST(H) and Physically Handicapped candidates as on 01/11/2013. For proof of age attested copy of H.S.L.C certificate or admit card must be enclosed.
- Photo : 2 (two) copies of passport size photographs duly attested by Gazetted Officer must be enclosed with the application.

- Govt. servants should apply through proper channel
- Post meant for reserved category will be maintained as per Reservation Act & Rules
- Candidate of concerned district will be eligible to apply to the posts of district where they are permanent resident
- A written test will be held for hundred marks for 3 hours, English =35, Mathematics=35 and General Knowledge = 30 marks. Successful candidates in written tests will be called for computer typing test and Viva-Voce as per decision of the selection committee, date of which will be initiated accordingly.
- A self-address stamped (Rs.5/-) envelop must be enclosed with the application.
- No application shall be entertained after the last date of submission of application. No TA/DA will be admissible at the time of examination for appearing the examination if called for.
