RECRUITMENT OF VETERINARY FIELD ASSISTANTS
Applications are invited from Indian citizens for filling up of the following 95 (ninety five) Nos posts of Veterinary Field Assistant in the Directorate of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Deptt. In the pay Band of Rs. 5200/- to Rs. 20.200/- and a Grade pay of Rs. 2100/- plus other allowances as admissible from time to time.

The candidates fulfilling the following eligibility condition while submission of application shall only be considered :-
AGE:- The age limit for recruitment to the 95 posts of VFA would be 18 to 45 years as on 01-01-2013 and as per rule for in service candidates. However, as per the judgement and the order dtd, 6-3-2006 passed by the Hon’ble High Court in WP( c ) No. 8913/2004 and 17 other connected cases, liberty is hereby granted to all those candidates who has become overage to apply for consideration of their case to appear in interview in accordance with laws and procedures.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION :- The candidates for direct recruitment shall have to pass the examination in the elementary knowledge of Veterinary science from the recognized “School of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science” established by the govt. of Assam at Ghungoor, Silchar or Khanapara, Guwahati and having passed HSLC Examination as the basic qualification.
PHYSICAL STANDARD : - A candidate must be physically and mentally sound and free from any organic defects or body infirmity likely to interfere with efficient performance of his duties and required to undergo medical examination before appointment to the service.
HOW TO APPLY :-The intending candidate may apply in the standard form as per Part IX of the Assam Gazette for application along with certificates of Qualification and caste, duly attested so as to reach the undersigned on or before 11-11-2013. The candidates shall have to furnish 3 9(three) attested copies of recent passport sized photographs along with the application form and a self-addressed envelope affixing stamps of Rs. 5/- for communication. In service candidate will have to apply through proper channel.
Application found to be correct in all respect will be considered for a call to the interview to be announced at a later date. The appointment shall be subject to the condition laid down in the Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Subordinate Service Rule, 2002.
It may be specifically mentioned here that the candidates who have already applied pursuant to the earlier advertisement Dtd. 14-3-2013 published in Assam Tribune Vide JANASANYOG/6032/12 for filling up of 95 posts of VFA and advertisement dtd. 13-8-2013 published in the Assam Tribune Vide JANASANYOG/5267/13 for filling up of 40 (forty) Posts of VFA need not apply again. On the basis of their earlier application already submitted, they will be called for interview in due course.
