Fresh applications under Merit-cum-Means based scholarship scheme for the year 2014-15 are invited from the students of notified minority communities for pursuing professional and technical courses at under-graduate and post-graduate levels in institutions recognized by the appropriate authority through Online Scholarship Management System (OSMS) introduced from the year 2011-12.The site for online application is accessed through the URL http://www.momascholarship.gov.in and http://www.minorityaffairs.gov.in. The students are informed to take print outs of the duly filled-in application forms, through OSMS and submit the same along with all supporting documents through their respective institutes to the Director, Technical Education, Kahilipara, Guwahati-19 and the Directorate of Technical Education submits the eligible list along with soft copies to the Directorate of Char Areas Development Assam, Hengrabari Road, Dispur, Guwahati-6 within 20th October/14. It is mention here that without receipt of hard copy in the Directorate of Technical Education or State Deptt., the application is likely to be rejected. The timeline of Merit-cum-means based scholarship (Fresh) scheme is-given below:

1. Last date for submission of Online applications for Fresh Scholarship by students,
30th September/2014

2. Last date for submission of duly signed printed version of online fresh application by students to institute, 5th October/2014

3. Respective institute after online scrutiny will submit the applications to the Director, Technical Education, Kahilipara, Guwahti-19, 10th October/2014

4. Submission of eligible list by Director, Technical Education to State Deptt. i.e Directorate of Char Areas Development Assam, Hengrabari Road, Dispur,Guwahati-6
20th October/2014

The “AADHAAR” number is not required for State of Assam under Merit-cum-Means based Scholarship (Fresh/Renewal) for 2014-15.
